Goa Driving Rules for Self Drive Visitors
Speed limits, documents to carry, helmets vs cars, and monsoon cautions when you rent from Dabolim Airport.
GetGo Rentals Team
Self drive from Dabolim means you follow Goa traffic rules, not resort shuttle habits.
Carry in the car
Licence, rental agreement, insurance copy we provide, and ID. Keep them reachable at checkpoints.
Speed and roads
Town limits are often 40–50 km/h. Highways 60–80 km/h. Cameras appear on NH66 and near the airport. Two-wheelers are dense; leave space.
Parking
Beach lots fill after 10 AM in season. Hotel parking is usually safer than informal shack fields. Do not leave passports in the cabin.
Monsoon (June–September)
Ask us to confirm wipers and tread. Avoid flooded village dips. A Creta or similar SUV is more comfortable than a hatch on broken monsoon stretches.
